Our Mission
Our mission aims to reconnect people to themselves and to the heritage that makes beauty possible.
Lafi was created to honour and elevate the often-silenced voices of the women who stand at the foundation of global beauty.
These women—our mothers, our grandmothers, our sisters—have long been the invisible pillars behind multi-billion-dollar skin, body, hair, and makeup industries. They are the hands behind the shea butter, oils, botanicals, and craftsmanship the world has come to love. And yet, when most consumers think of “beauty,” these women are not seen. Their titanic labour, knowledge, and grace are rarely acknowledged.
Lafi exists to change that. To give these women visibility. To reflect their dignity through beautiful design and storytelling. To show the world that Burkinabé and West African women are not only the suppliers of global beauty and luxury—they are part of its genesis.
More than a skincare brand, Lafi is a greeting to the world. A way of introducing the refined, radiant, and rooted beauty of my homeland to those who have never truly seen it. It is an invitation to return—to self care, to memory, to meaning.
Lafi was created to restore that connection. Revive that love — transforming everyday care into a moment of calm, self-respect, and remembrance
Each jar is a gesture of reverence — a reminder that true care begins with intention.
Our body and shea butters are crafted with the same devotion as the women who harvest and transform the sacred shea nuts — the silent architects of beauty, whose knowledge and spirit infuse every touch.
Through texture, scent, and body butter, Lafi invites you to slow down, to breathe, and to pour love back into yourself — the way they once did for you.
Because care isn’t a routine. It’s remembrance.
And when you nurture yourself with intention, you honour them — and the lineage of women who made beauty possible.
Lafi is more than skincare — it’s a ritual of remembrance.
